I am a 25 year-old law student from Austin, Texas. I am lucky enough to be attending the university which I have cheered on for many years - the 2006 Football National Champion University of Texas. Hook 'em Horns!! I plan to study corporate and transactional law and am looking forward to a break from the real world.
My husband, Daniel, and I were married in March 2005, and we recently bought our first house. Daniel and I added a member to our family last July when we brought home Major, a short-haired male tabby cat named after UT quarterback Major Applewhite. You can see lots of cute kitten pics at www.beckyanddaniel.com/Major/first_day. Major is a prominent feature on my blog so you'll see plenty of pics of him.
l learned to knit in 2002 when one of my teammates taught me, but I didn't really get into knitting until mid-2003. Now that I am done with the wedding planning that seemed to consume every ounce of free time I had, I've had a lot more time to knit and read other people's blogs. About a year ago, I finally decided to start my own blog to document my projects and ideas. I hope you enjoy it, and I welcome your comments.
My other hobbies include sports and playing handbells. I am a member of the Austin Handbell Ensemble - a community group which I auditioned for this year. I played softball in college and also enjoy basketball, field hockey, tennis, and sometimes soccer. I am currently bitter about soccer though because I suffered a knee injury last summer and haven't been able to play any sports for almost a year. After my second surgery, I am hopefully on the road to recovery. As mentioned above, my husband and I are avid UT fans and enjoy cheering on the nationally ranked football, softball, basketball, and baseball teams.
